Founder & Executive director

A social worker that is also a survivor of gender-based violence, Angelique turned her pain into purpose by founding the Tanzanite Sanctuary Foundation. Through her leadership, the organization empowers marginalized communities with a focus on mental health advocacy, elderly care, and fighting child labor and human trafficking. Her lived experience and passion drive meaningful change across Tanzania.

Godfrey Anakleth

Secretary

Godfrey is a dedicated lawyer at the Tanzanite Sanctuary Foundation, driven by a strong passion for justice and community service. With a deep commitment to protecting human rights, she provides legal support and advocacy for vulnerable groups, helping ensure every voice is heard and every person is protected.

Mathias Walichupa

Treasurer

Mathias is a clinical officer and a musician. He brings a unique blend of healing and creativity to the Tanzanite Sanctuary Foundation. As a skilled clinical officer, he provides essential healthcare support to the community, while his passion for music offers a powerful tool for mental wellness and connection. His dual role reflects his belief in both medical and emotional healing.

Therapist

Lightness is a compassionate therapist at the Tanzanite Sanctuary Foundation, dedicated to supporting mental health and emotional healing within marginalized communities. With a gentle and empathetic approach, she helps individuals navigate trauma, build resilience, and reclaim their well-being.
